Editorial line (disclosure pursuant to § 25 Austrian Media Act)

ShaveIndex is an online reference for wet shaving products, in particular shaving soaps, shaving creams, aftershaves, fragrances and shaving gear. Its purpose is to organise publicly available product and manufacturer information in a structured and comparable form and to provide users with factual guidance on products, brands, scent profiles and product characteristics.

The media owner also operates the specialist shop HAIRBASE in Vienna. This commercial activity has no influence on the editorial order, presentation or rating of products, brands or retailers on ShaveIndex.

Advertising and partner links

ShaveIndex may be financed through partner links (affiliate links), sponsored listings and links, and paid advertising on the website and in the newsletter. Paid or sponsored content is identified accordingly as "Ad", "Sponsored" or "Partner link".

Commercial arrangements do not alter catalogue information or ratings and do not influence the order of other results unless a placement is expressly identified as sponsored. Further details are provided in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

About the content

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information provided on ShaveIndex accurate and up to date. Nevertheless, information may be incomplete, incorrect or no longer current. The manufacturer's current information and the product packaging are authoritative for the current composition, use and labelling of a product.

The short descriptions of brands and scents are written with the help of AI, solely from the information in our catalogue. Each description is checked against this information before publication; editorial responsibility lies with the media owner.

Scent notes describe scent impressions and fragrance characteristics; they are not an ingredient list. If a scent note or other piece of information is missing from ShaveIndex, this does not mean that a particular ingredient or component is absent from a product.

Links to other websites
