Birch and Root by MacDuff's Soap Company is built around birch and wintergreen, joined by fir, ginger, spices and spruce, with cedar as a base note and vanilla alongside. Part of the Gourmand family, the scent is sweet and woody. It comes as a shaving soap and an aftershave splash. The Canadian brand develops its formulas and scents in-house and makes its products by hand in small batches.
